EDDIE And WOLFGANG VAN HALEN Talk Music (Video)

June 12, 2012

USA Today has uploaded a new four-minute video clip in which Eddie and Wolfgang Van Halen talk about playing music together, the best musical advice they ever got, natural musical ability, and AC/DC. The clip, which was taped on June 4, can be seen below.

Wolfgang joined VAN HALEN in 2007 at the age of 16, replacing original bassist Michael Anthony.

Wolfgang recently told Esquire magazine that his dad gives him plenty of responsibilities on tour, revealing, "I kind of come up with the set lists. When we've got a song that we haven't done, it's like, we should probably run through this before the show and figure out like the count of it. Because dad, for some reason, counts in odds. He'll land on three instead of four."

Wolfgang continued, "(Eddie) still, to this day, does not know the lyrics to 'Beautiful Girls'. You know how we go, 'Top of the world, beautiful girls'? He has it written down on his pedal board. On the last tour I used to have to go (mouths lyrics)."

VAN HALEN is currently on the road behind its new album, "A Different Kind Of Truth", which is the first with original singer David Lee Roth in 28 years.
